Srinagar:  Felicitating the Islamic Republic of Pakistan on the eve of its national day, the incarcerated Chairman JKSM Zaffar Akber, on Wednesday
said the Pakistan Resolution, passed on this day in 1940 in Lahore, was a source of inspiration and guideline for the oppressed people of Kashmir.
Zaffar  while felicitating the government of Pakistan, its people, civil society, opposition political, social, religious and military leadership expressed hope that the country will move forward keeping in view its responsibility of “uniting the Muslim Ummahâ€.
He said for Kashmiris  always pray for peace, progress, and stability of this nationâ€.
Zaffar said since Pakistan emerged as a nuclear power, the country became the main target of the enemies. “The country, prior to becoming a nuclear nation, fell victim to many internal and external conspiracies of which the ‘Fall of Dhaka’ was an open example. It’s imperative upon Muslim nations to, instead of getting divided and disintegrated; unite under the banner of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan.â€
Terming Pakistan as a hope for the Muslim world, zaffar said, “We believe a strong Pakistan can play a crucial role in bringing peace in South Asia. Millions of people have sacrificed their lives for achieving this nation. Now, the country has to rise to overcome its enemies.â€
“Pakistan’s unflinching support to Kashmiris on political, moral and diplomatic fronts is laudable and we hope the Islamic Republic will continue its support with same spirit and steadfastness. We’re proud of having a nation like Pakistan as our well-wisher,†Tufail said.
