MIRPUR [AJK] : Veteran human rights activist and director Kashmir Institute of International Relations Altaf Hussain Wani lauded the vibrant role of youth in ongoing freedom movement .
He was addressing a seminar role of youth in ongoing freedom struggle in Indian occupied Kashmir organized by student alliances and All Parties’ Hurriyat Conference here Wednesday.
Vice Chancellor of Mirpur University of Science and Technology [MUST] Prof. Dr. Habib ur Rehman – Sitara e Imtiaz, APHC AJK Chapter`s head Ghulam Muhammad Safi, Abdul Hamid Lone, Muhammad Farooq Rehmani, Sayed Faiz Naqshbandi, Ishtiaq Hamid, Sehrish Qamar, Sardar Mazher, Ijaz Raza and young leaders also addressed the seminar and applauded the role of the valiant youths in Indian occupied Jammu and Kashmir by always having been on the forefront of the struggle for freedom of the motherland from the Indian subjugation.
“India repression and military oppression continues in Indian occupied Kashmir and India is trying to push youth to wall“, speakers said and added despite all stringent and inhuman acts through her occupational forces India has totally failed to arrest the momentum of the freedom struggle .
Addressing the seminar, Jammu and Kashmir National Front`s central vice chairman Altaf Hussain Wani said “Youth despite in constant distress and fear are using all means of modern warfare to defeat Indian designs , Kashmir youth used social media , literature , art and culture to promote resistance , He added .
He said that Youth in Indian occupied need an equal and matching response from the youth of Azad Jammu and Kashmir and Pakistan.
Wani said Azad Jammu and Kahmir youth will continue to support the people of Indian occupied Kashmir in their struggle for freedom. There is enmorus potential in Azad Kashmir and youth are fully charged to work for change, he urged youth to remain informed, involved and organized and make efforts to involve other too in promoting the resistance and expose suffering of people of Indian occupied Kashmir , you can do so by monitoring , documenting and disseminating the information to young Kashmiri diaspora and they can involve the Cecil society of their country of living.
Altaf Hussain Wani urged Azad Kashmir government to arrange youth exchange programs and also incentives to young scholars and students to promote Kashmir cause by their writings poetry and art , he added . He also encouraged youth to use International human rights mechanism to expose human rights violations .
