Faisalabad: Institute of Horticulture Sciences, University of Agriculture Faisalabad, Netherlands Senior Experts’ organization Program Utizending Managers (PUM) and Greenworks Lahore on Tuesday inked a memorandum of Understanding to collaborate in floriculture to seek benefits from each others’ experiences.
The MoU was inked by PUM Head of Finance and Operations Johan Luursema, and UAF Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Iqrar Ahmad Khan. According to agreement, PUM experts train and advice the flower growers and other stakeholders in the floriculture value chain including floriculture researchers; academic extension agents, and student on the subject such as entrepreneurship, international standards and post harvest techniques climate zoning.
They will also share the knowledge, skills and capacity building workshops. The partners will stimulate, sensitize and motivate development of the association of local flower growers and other stakeholders for planning future requirement and a way forward to develop the floriculture.
