ISLAMABAD: While challenging his opponents Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Chairman while addressing a big rally here at Parade Ground on Friday said, “Those who want to know the name of the person, who made Rs10 billion offer to stay silent over the Panama case, can take him to courtâ€. Pertinently it was the party’s first-ever rally since the Supreme Court of Pakistan announced the verdict of the Panama Papers case. The well attended gathering was addressed by Awami Muslim League (AML) leader Shiekh Rashid and other PTI leaders including Shah Mehmood Qureshi, and others. The fully charged PTI workers on the occasion raised high pitched slogans against Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif. Addressing the rally Imran said, “I’m not revealing the name of the one who tried to bribe him, because there are apprehensions that the person would be forced to go out of business due to vengeful activitiesâ€. The PTI chief said that if people had not taken to streets against Panama Leaks scandal then everyone would have forgotten the Panama scandal. Imran said that Nawaz Sharif and Shehbaz Sharif’s children own billions of rupees. He said, “In parliament Khawaja Asif has told PM Sharif not to bother about Panama case as people will forget this issueâ€. Khan said that owing to people’s tireless struggle Nawaz got trapped in Panama case badly.
Challenging Sharif family Khan said that Nawaz must not commit yet another mistake to take the issue into the court of law. “I will reveal the name of person in the court and shall ask the court to provide security to himâ€, he said. Nawaz Sharif he said must take oath on the Holy Quran that he had never paid bribes to any oneâ€. “Nations are made on the basis of character, not liesâ€, Khan said adding that “all the five judges have said that Nawaz Sharif is a liar.†He stated that two of the apex court judges had categorically said that PM was no more “Sadiq and Ameenâ€. Despite all this he said the PML-N was distributing sweets. “I thought when they will go to their homes and their own children will ask them as why they were distributing sweetsâ€. Referring to Indian businessman and entrepreneur Sajjan Jindal’s unannounced visit and meeting with the premier in Murree, Imran said “Jindal won’t be able to save Nawaz”. He said that Jindal has said that Nawaz sent out a message that he wants friendly ties but the army does notâ€. Khan said Nawaz was silent on the sufferings of Kashmiri people adding that he would raise voice for the rights of Kashmiris wherever he could, adding that Indian PM Narendra Modi was campaigning against Pakistan on every front.
Terming PM Nawaz as a slave leader of free nation the PTI chairman said that it was unfortunate that we are a leaderless nation. Regarding the situation in Indian held territory of Jammu and Kashmir Khan said, “Had Kashmiris not Muslims by faith the whole world would have turned against India todayâ€. He said whenever and wherever he got any opportunity he shall raise the voice in favour of Kashmiris and their rights. He said there were people in India who admit the fact that Kashmiris were being subjected to oppression and suppression.
