Muzaffarabad: (Parliament Times) The Azad Jammu and Kashmir Minister for Law and Parliamentary Affairs Raja Nisar Ahmad has said the government is making its best efforts to strengthen the Standing Committees as these are the basis of democracy. Speaking at the Azad Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly here on Wednesday, he congratulated the House for legislation and passage of twenty two Bills during the current session.
In his speech, Member Legislative Assembly, Chaudhry Masood Khalid congratulated the House for regularization of the services of nearly thirty five hundred Lady Health Visitors and termed it a landmark achievement of the PML-N government. The House also approved a bill for formally declaring Rescue 1122 as a government institution. Later, the Deputy Speaker Sardar Farooq Ahmad Tahir adjourned the session sine die.
