Upper Dir : At least six children were dead and two otherss including a woman injured when fire erupted in a house due to short-circuit here.
The fire erupted in a house located in Dogadra, an area of Dougudrah due to short circuit of a electric generator. The deceased were identified as Maryam (15), Nasreen (13), Dresha (14), Tasleem (14), Samina (15) and Mudassar (3).
The local of the area shifted the dead bodies and injured to nearby hospital on self help. Police said that fire erupted in the heap of gross due to short circuit of a generator.
The people of the area have controlled the fire after the hard struggle of three hours due to non-accessibility of fire brigade. The house was turned into ashes.
