Islamabad: Pakistan People’s Party leader and Senator Farhatullah Babar resigned from a parliamentary committee on accountability laws.
According to media reports, Farhatullah Babar had advised that all the judges and generals should also be held accountable. However, his advice was dismissed by the other members of the parliament. As a result, he handed over his resignation from the parliamentary committee. A copy of the resignation was also shared with all the members of the parliamentary committee during a session on Thursday.
While speaking to the media, Babar refused to comment on the reason for his resignation. However, he raised questions over parliamentarians visiting the General Headquarters.
