Islamabad : Senate Standing Committee on Rules and Regulation sought record of billion of rupees embezzlement committed in development projects in NA-21. A meeting of Senate Standing Committee on Rules and Regulation presided over by chairman committee Senator Azam Sawati held on Tuesday.
Senator Azam Sawati more than 2.5 billion of rupees embezzlement has been committed in the development projects of in NA-21.He added that “he could not tell name who committed this embezzlement but warned to take this matter to NAB.”
The committee was told that contracts of the projects are allocated to the blue eyed without tenders.
The committee ordered to check the all record of 2013 to 2017.Pakistan Public Works Department (PWD) officials were asked to submit all record to the chairman committee Azam Sawati.The standing committee expressed annoyance over non according protocol to chairman Senate Mian Raza Rabbani as acting president in Karachi. Notices have been issued to Sindh chief secretary, commissioner and DG Protocol. They have been summoned in next session of committee.
