Rawalpindi: Punjab Food Authority Wednesday conducted surprise raids at two factories, which were preparing adulterated spices and butter and also sealed both factories.
DG Food Authority Noor-ul-Amin conducted raid at a factory Adnan Khurshid Spice Production situated in Chak Beli Khan and recovered 1100 kg chilly, 900 kg spices and 3800 sachets of National and Rafhan brands.
Another raid was conducted in Rawat at Khurshid Butter factory and recovered 1900 kg prepared fake butter, 400 kg banaspati ghee and food color injurious for health. Both factories were sealed and cases have been registered against the owners.
According to DG Food Authority, spices and other products were being supplied in Rawalpindi and its adjoining areas and also in Khyber Pakhtoonkha (KP).
