Islamabad: PTI has strongly criticized federal and Punjab governments for allegedly bestowing members of national and provincial assemblies with Rs 200 billion in the name of development fund. Party tagged the distribution of development funds from the national exchequer as pre poll rigging.
Leadership expressed serious concerns over the distribution of Rs 200 billion among members and appealed the apex court and Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) to take immediate notice of the political bribery being distributed in the garb of development funds.
According to the details, a high level meeting of PTI leadership was held on Monday at Chairman’s Secretariat with Chairman PTI Imran Khan in the chair.
During the meeting leadership has also discussed in detail the Election Bill 2017 with special focus on the amendment of Article 203 of the bill. Along with that major aspects of census and expected delimitation of constituencies have also been analyzed in a detailed manner.
Leadership also condemned in the strongest terms the malicious campaign of Nawaz Sharif and his mafia against state institutions.
Leadership reiterated its demand for early elections stating that due to succumbed policies of the incumbent government Pakistan has sunken into the quagmire of economic, political and administrative crisis.
