Muzaffarabad: Vice Chairman, Salvation Movement, Altaf Ahmad Bhat condemned the unabated arrest spree by state police and said that state administration is hell-bent to turn state into a big jail. Thursday in a staor tement, Altaf Ahmad criticised the detention of an elderly Imam and his two sons in Chanpora locality and added that it is highly barbaric and uncivilised that police during night raids is ransacking proprieties and harassing the inmates. Altaf Said that elderly Imam and his two sons were arrested by SOG Budgam on July 2 and since then are languishing in police custody. lashing out at administration for arbitrary arrests and slapping PSA against innocent youth, Altaf Ahmad said that the spirits and passion of people for freedom movement won’t be cowed down by these nasty tactics and people would pursue their mission with full spirits and enthusiasm. Altaf while slamming police demanded release of all detainees.
