Islamabad: A Mehfil Milad-un-Nabi (PBUH) function organized by Oil and Gas Development Company Limited (OGDCL) was held here on Thursday in which eulogizing tributes were paid to Allah’s last prophet Muhammad (PBUH).
The Function was attended and addressed by Qari Ali Akbar Naeemi, Mehmood-ul-Hassan Ashrafi and Muhammad Khawar Naqashbandi whereas the advisor to Prime Minister on finance Mifta Ismaeel was special guest on the occasion. Prominent Naat Khawan recited Naat-e-Sharif to pay respects to the Holy Prophet (Peace Be Upon Him) and highlighted his teachings of peace, love and brotherhood. The Mehfil-e-Milad also featured the recitation of verses from the Holy Quran as well as Darood Sharif.
Speaking on the occasion, Mifta Ismaeel while stressing the need for promoting brotherhood, peace, love and interfaith harmony in the country, said that the surging trend of extremism could be arrested by following the teachings of the prophet Muhammad (SAW) in letter and spirit.
The participants also prayed for peace and prosperity of Pakistan and & rendered beautiful Naats & Darood o Salam in honour of the Holy Prophet (SAW). At the end of the function, special prayers were made for the salvation of Pakistan and the Islamic World.
Besides the OGDCL Chairman Zahid Muzaffar the function was attended by MD OGDCL Zahid Mir, Executive Director, General Manager as well as other pertinent officers of the company.
