Lahore : Nazaria-i-Pakistan Trust (NPT) organized a seminar in connection with 974th annual congregation (Urs) of Syed Ali Bin Usman Hajveri alias Hazrat Data Ganj Bakhsh(R.A.) that was attended by the luminaries of Pakistan Movement, scholars, politicians, workers of Pakistan Movement, people from all walks of life and students.
The speakers of the seminar called him a leading figure of Islamic history, distributing knowledge and wisdom and preaching the teachings of Islam. They said Hazrat Data Ganj Bakhsh(R.A.) spread Islam in the sub-continent and his teachings ultimately led to the creation of Pakistan. He prepared the Muslims of the subcontinent for a revolution that materialized in the form of Pakistan. He spent his whole life in preaching Islam and hundreds and thousands of the inhabitants of the subcontinent adopted the religion of Islam.
Those who spoke on the occasion included Vice Chairman NPT Professor Dr, Muhammad Rafique, former Chief Justice Federal Shariat Court and Chairman Pakistan Movement Workers Trust Justice (Retd) Mian Mehboob Ahmed, Provincial Minister for Religious Affairs Syed Zaeem Hussain Qadri, Director General Department of Auqaf and Religious Affairs Dr. Tahir Raza Bukhari, renowned columnist Dr Muhammad Ajmal Niazi, Sahibzada Waleed Ahmed Sharqpuri, Syed Ahmed Saqlain Haider Gilani, Mufti Muhammad Ramzan Sialwi, President NPT Forum Azad Kashmir Maualana Muhammad Shafi Josh and others. Secretary General NPT Shahid Rasheed moderated the seminar.
A book on the life and work of Hazrat Data Ganj Bakhsh(R.A.) titled as “Zaad-ul-Abrar” and written by Dr. Tahir Raza Bukhari was also launched on the occasion.
