Islamabad : Senior leader of Pakistan People Party (PPP) and former Interior Minister Senator Rehman Malik has advised the former Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif to avoid confrontation with state institutions.
Talking to media after attending a Christmas ceremony, he said that political case should be dealt as per political manners in political circumstances. Pakistan is dire need of interfaith harmony, he added.
Community wing of PPP and large number of Christian community have attended the Christmas ceremony. Rehman Malik lauded the services of Christian community for country and expressed his resolve to continue efforts for the protection of minorities in Pakistan.
He felicitated the Christian community on the eve of Christmas on behalf of PPP’s Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari. Rehman Malik has strongly condemned the Quetta church blast and one minute silence was observed for the deceased in church blast during the Christmas ceremony. He appealed the US President Donald Trump that he should give message of love and peace on occasion of Christmas and not war.
