Bagh: Urging teachers to ensure aim-full and effective education of students, the AJK minister for information Raja Mushtaq Minhas has said that the teachers should take effective measures for an effective and purposeful education of children lest they turn into factories of unemployment.
The AJK information minister said this while addressing a speech contest ceremony organized by Mirpur Board of Education at Government Boys Post Graduate College Bagh on Saturday. The speech contest ceremony was attended by male and female students hailing from different educational institutions of Azad Kashmir. The Minster observed that steps needed to be taken regarding effective education of the youth so that they could be able to mange their livelihood in future in a dignified manner. He said that students must participate in extra curriculum activities saying that extracurricular activities greatly help to develop general skills and personality of students.
He said that incumbent government was using all its resources to ensure quality education in government institutions. He said that stern action would be taken against teachers who don’t pay proper attention in their respective institutions. He said that politics within the educational institutions will no more be tolerated. With regard to transfer and posting of teachers he said that government has made a policy in this regard and women teachers would be posted in their respective areas. He said that government was committed to eradicate corruption, nepotism and political interference in educational as well as other government institutions saying that a lot of work has been in this regard.
Mari Majeed bagged first position in the contest whereas Hamza Kiani of Muhammadan College Hajira, Mushahid Ikram from Government Science Model College Bagh obtained second and third position respectively. The winning students were awarded with shields and cash money of 15000, 10000 and 8000 respectively.
