RAHIM YAR KHAN: A man has allegedly jumped into a canal after pushing his four children therein to escape sheer poverty.
One of the children was saved while the search for the man Ghulam Yasin and his remaining three children is underway.
Seven-year-old Sania was rescued near Airport police station when a milkman heard her crying for help. He pulled her out of the canal and took her to the hospital.
The missing children are stated to be 6 months, 3 years and 5 years old.
Police have termed the incident a suicide attempt stating that Ghulam Yasin attempted suicide being unemployed and due to his worsening domestic affairs.
