Muzaffarabad: (Parliament Times) Voicing serious concern over the rising cases of extra-judicial killings in Indian held Kashmir; the president of Azad Kashmir Sardar Masood Ahmed Khan has said that it was quite alarming that innocent youth taking part in peaceful protest demonstrations were being arrested by occupation forces and later murdered in fake encounters.
According to a press statement issued here on Tuesday, the AJK president said that the mass murder of Kashmiri youth in custodial and extra-judicial killings was in fact a part of Indian government’s proposed plan to settle Kashmir on permanent basis. He said the occupation forces deployed in length and breadth of Kashmir valley have been carrying out genocide of Kashmiri youth under a well thought out plan. He said that the youth who were ruthlessly killed at Sumbal Sonawari area of district Bandipore by Indian troops were freedom activists.
Khan said that Indian occupation forces have wreaked havoc as death and destruction continued unabated in the region. He said that since the beginning of the holy month [Ramazan], the spate of targeted violence had further intensified in the region.
Khan also denounced Indian authorities for imposing serious restrictions to foil a significant meeting called by joint resistance leaders. He said Indian authorities over the past several years have made their [Hurriyat leaders] lives miserable but despite all that their commitment to the cause remains steadfast and unwavering.
