Karachi: In Sindh, Hepatitis control program was further being strengthened to control the rapidly growing disease of Hepatitis B and C in the province.According to report, over five million school going children, four hundred thousand people from general population and seventy five thousand people from high risk population will be vaccinated against Hepatitis during current financial year. Besides, twenty five thousand jail inmates and twenty five hundred hemophilic patients will also be vaccinated against Hepatitis B and C.
The court wanted the action to be taken today but the deputy commissioner asked for time as preparations will take “three to four hours”. He added that the protesters are carrying weapons and predicted their strength to be around 2,000, with an increase witnessed on Fridays. Justice Siddiqui maintained that the administration failed to play its due role in resolving the crisis and merely watched the spectacle unfold as a ‘cricket spectator’.
