ISLAMABAD: An Accountability Court in Islamabad has adjourned hearing of NAB references against former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and his family members till 15th of this month.
During the hearing today, the Accountability Court Judge Muhammad Bashir dismissed former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif’s petition seeking to club the three references.
The court indicted the former Prime Minister in the references.
Denying charges against him, Nawaz Sharif said his right to fair trial has been infringed.
The Court accepted the application of Captain Safdar and Maryam Nawaz and modified the charge sheet by removing one of the provisions.
Nawaz Sharif, Maryam Nawaz, Captain (Retired) Muhammad Safdar, other PML-N leaders and ministers were present in the court room.
During the hearing of NAB reference against Finance Minister Ishaq Dar, his counsel Ayesha Hamid submitted the medical report of her client and pleaded that the proceedings may continue in his absence through pleader.
The court dismissed the application of Ishaq Dar from personal appearance and issued notices to his guarantors.
