ISLAMABAD: Accountability court Islamabad on Monday adjourned hearing of the NAB references against former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and his family till Tuesday.
Muhammad Nawaz Sharif, Maryam Nawaz and Capt Muhammad Safdar (Retired) appeared before accountability judge Muhammad Bashir in the morning. The Court, however, adjourned the hearing for some time in anticipation of the Islamabad High Court verdict on an application by Nawaz Sharif for clubbing of references.
The two-member bench of IHC consisting of Justice Aamir Farooq and Justice Mohsin Akhtar Kiani dismissed the plea.
The accountability court rejected Maryam Nawaz’s plea to change the date of her exemption from appearing before the court.
Maryam Nawaz has already been granted exemption from appearing before the court from November 15 to 15th of this month.
The court, however, granted Nawaz Sharif exemption from appearing before the court from fifth to 12th of this month.
