Islamabad: (Parliament Times) The president of Azad Jammu and Kashmir Sardar Muhammad Masood said government has decided to accelerate the diplomatic efforts to highlight Indian atrocities in Occupied Kashmir.
He expressed these views during his meeting with speaker Azad Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly Shah Ghulam Qaidr who called on him at Kashmir House Islamabad on Monday. Both the leaders discussed latest situation of Occupied Jammu and Kashmir, Indian unprovoked firing at Line of Control, development of liberated territory and other matters of mutual interest.
It was decided in the meeting to further accelerate the diplomatic efforts to stop India from violation of human rights and ethnic cleansing of Kashmiri people.
Speaking on the occasion, President Masood said that the issue of killings of Kashmiri youth in fake encounters by Indian army would be raised in the Human Rights Council of United Nations. For this purpose an international conference is being organized by Azad Jammu and Kashmir University in Muzaffarabad, which would be attended by human rights activists, intellectuals and political leaders from Pakistan, UK, America, Norway, Belgium and occupied Kashmir. The participants of the conference would discuss negative effects on peace and security of South Asia due to unresolved Kashmir issue.
He said that there is no improvement in the deteriorated situation in occupied Kashmir as every day youths are being killed by Indian army during the siege and search operations. He said that the puppet government has virtually become a pawn in the hands of Indian army and disclosed that recently 480,000 kanal of land has been allotted to Indian army in Ladakh. The allotment of land, he said is violation of state subject rules. Sardar Masood Khan also rejected Indian propaganda against China Pakistan Economic Corridor. He said Azad Kashmir has become part of CPEC which would usher an era of progress and prosperity in the region.
