MIRPUR (AJK): Four Pakistan army soldiers were martyred as a result of unprovoked firing by the Indian army on the line of control in Kotli district of Mirpur division of Azad Jammu Kashmir, official sources said on Monday.
“4 Pakistan Army soldiers embraced shahadat along LOC in Jandrot, Kotli sector. Troops were busy in Line communication maintenance when they were fired upon and hit by heavy mortar round. Exchange of fire killed 3 Indian soldiers while few injured,” said the ISPR.
“Three Indian soldiers were also killed and few others injured in a befitting counter attack by Pakistan army”, sources told this Correspondent on Monday. “Pakistani troops were busy in Line communication maintenance when they were fired upon and hit by heavy morter round”, the sources added.
India violated the ceasefire on the line of control by resorting to unprovoked firing in Jandrot Sector in Kotli district of Azad Jammu & Kashmir, authorities said. The Pakistan Army launched a counter attack in response to the unprovoked Indian aggression, killing three soldiers of the enemy besides.
It may be recalled here that Pakistan on Friday summoned Indian High Commissioner in foreign office to lodge its protest against casualties as a result of frequent ceasefire violations by Indian forces along the Line of Control (LoC).
