Muzaffarabad : (Parliament Times) The 14th Death anniversary of founding President of Azad Jammu Kashmir government, Sardar Muhammad Ibrahim Khan would be observed today (Monday) throughout the State. He died in Islamabad in 2003 after a prolonged illness. He was laid to rest in his native village in Rawalakot the same day. There will be holiday in the state while various Special ceremonies would be held in various parts of AJK including the capital town, district and tehsil headquarters to pay rich tributes to the departed Kashmiri leader for his meritorious services for the Kashmir cause. Major ceremony would be held at his mausoleum in Rawalakot where Quran Khawani will be held besides a special function to pay glorious tributes to the departed soul.
AJK President Sardar Masood Khan,Prime Minister Raja Farooq Haider Khan and Information Minister Raja Mushtaq Minhas have paid rich tribute to Sardar Muhammad Ibrahim’s role for the freedom of Occupied Kashmir.
In their messages the President said that Sardar Muhammad Ibrahim was pioneer of the freedom movement in 1947.
Raja Farooq Haider Khan said that resolution of accession to Pakistan was passed at the residence of Sardar Muhammad Ibrahim Khan on July 19,1947 even before the creation of Pakistan.
Mushtaq Minhas said the mission of the Sardar Muhammad Ibrahim Khan would be carry out till its success.
