Rawalpindi: (Parliament Times) A ceremony to observe maiden anniversary of Daily Sada-e-Waqat International was held here at its Rawalpindi office, which was attended by journalists, politicians, civil society representatives as well as the editors and chief editors of prominent News Papers of Azad Kashmir.
The function was specially attended by the chief editor Kashmir Express Sardar Zahid Tabbassum, chief Editor Daily Parliament Times Javed Iqbal Chudhary, Editor Kashmir Link Khawaja Ab. Mateen, and Group Editor Jammu and Kashmir Raja Kafeel, Editor Kashmir Times Arshad Sani, General Manager Kashmir Link Ejaz Mustafa Dar, columnist Abid Hashimi, Ghulam Mustafa Hashmi, Iqbal Awan, Muhammad Khan and others. Amongst prominent social and political personalities of Azad Kashmir the ceremony was attended by Attique Gilani, M Ershad Abassi and others.
While cutting the anniversary cake the distinguished guests extended their warm felicitations to Chief Editor Sada-e-Waqat and his team for organizing this wonderful event. The participants also extended their warm and heartfelt felicitations to Muhammad Naqash Abbasi for his splendid success in the field of journalism.
Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Editor vowed to continue the legacy of his late father and founder of Sada-e-Waqat international. He also appreciated his team for working hard to achieve the long cherished goal. Terming SWI as the voice of oppressed, Abbasi said that in presence of his news paper the voice of truth and justice could not be suppressed.
Meanwhile, Muhammad Khaqan Abassi in his message said that all out efforts would be made to take the news paper to new heights of professional excellence besides conveying the voice of oppressed ones to the higher echelons of power.
