Cultural policy to be launched in next two weeks

ISLAMABAD: Minister of State for Information, Broadcasting and National Heritage Marriyum Aurangzeb says Pakistan’s first cultural policy will be launched in next two weeks to project the true culture of country.

Addressing a function in Islamabad on Tuesday, she said, under the cultural policy, all the provincial governments will be provided with a plan to promote their indigenous culture.

She said the government is also working on artist assistant fund.

Marriyum Aurangzeb said Pakistan has rendered sacrifices in the war on terror the most and now the menace has considerably been controlled.

She said through revival of the film industry, soft image of Pakistan will be projected abroad.
