Muzaffarabad: (Parliament Times) Terming India’s aggression on LoC as a brazen act of terrorism the Prime Minister of Azad Kashmir Raja Farooq Haider Khan has said that international community must take effective notice of India’s unprovoked shelling, use of heavy weapons, destroying public properties and targeting of civilian population across the Line of Control.
The AJK premier said this while talking to representatives of various public delegations here on Thursday. He was of the view that the cross-LoC shelling was a deliberate attempt to deflect world attention from the situation in Indian occupied Kashmir.
About the prevailing political situation in Pakistan Raja Farooq Haider said that the rumpus being created in the name of Panama case was the result of the conspiracies being hatched by anti-Pakistan elements. These anti-state elements he said were hell bent upon to impede Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif’s march towards development, progress and prosperity of the country. Panama case he said was now a legal matter but short-sighted political actors were trying to foment political instability by using different tactics. He said that despite all these “ignominious efforts†Prime Minister Sharif by the grace of Almighty would emerge out as victor in the Panama case.
About incumbent government’s policy on Kashmir he said that it was for the first time that a strong strategy on Kashmir was adopted by the federal government led by Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif. He said that mediation offers by China and other countries on the issue of Kashmir was the result of Pakistan’s successful foreign policy.
He said that a handsome budget has been allocated for the up-gradation of main roads and link-roads linking major cities and towns in the region. Regarding Prime Minister’s Community Infrastructure Development Program he said that efforts were being made to fulfill basic needs of common people living in far-flung areas of Azad Kashmir.
Regarding the rehabilitation of cross-LoC firing victims, the AJK PM said that he has directed all the concerned departments of AJK to take immediate steps for the rehabilitation of civilians who have immensely suffered due to Indian aggression along the LoC. Any kind of negligence and laxity in this regard he said will not be tolerated.
