Islamabad : Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa condemned the terrorist attack saying that it was an attempt to mar Independence Day festivity in the country.
He said our resolve to fight the menace of terrorism will not succumb to any challenge.
Health Minister Rehmat Saleh Baloch has announced emergency in hospitals.
Governor Balochistan Muhammad Khan Achakzai have also strongly condemned the bomb blast in Quetta.
They have also expressed condolence with the bereave families.
In line with Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR), the terrorist targeted a military vehicle on duty. The suicide bomber was riding a motorcycle with about twenty-five kilogram of explosive material.
It is worth mentioning here that fifteen people, including eight security personnel, have been martyred in a suicide blast near Pishin Stop area of Quetta.
Twenty-five others including ten security personnel were also injured in the attack.
