Muzaffarabad: (Parliament Times) Controller General Accounts of Pakistan Miss Shagufta Khanum called on Prime Minister Azad Jammu and Kashmir (PM AJK) Raja Farooq Haider Khan here in Prime Minister Secretariat on Wednesday.
Accountant General of Azad Kashmir Muhammad Ayaz, Director General in CGA Umer Zafar Sheikh and Additional Accountant General Muhammad Hassan Rana were also present in the meeting.
Prime Minister said that the prominence of financial discipline cannot be denied in establishment of good governance as incumbent government is endeavoring for completely established computerized financial system in the region. “It is delightful that people do not have to face old-fashioned problems now than the past; the amounts of pensioners and their accounts ought to be upgraded online to ease masses.” Prime Minister stated, adding that he said that salaries of all public sector employees should be transferred directly to their accounts and all pertinent departments should be upgraded online regarding salaries and pensions.
PM AJK reiterated that government will utilize all the resources for the allocation of land and settlement of Accountant General Office. Prime Minister emphasized that retired employees pensions must be shifted into their accounts by facilitating them instead of observing senior citizens standing in rows outside the banks.
Admiring the role of Accountant General of Azad Kashmir Muhammad Ayaz for the promotion and creation of financial discipline and transparency, PM AJK said that he is a talented and trustworthy officer and his deployment has made the institution more stable.
Prime Minister directed all the relevant department to make liaison with AG office in computerization of Pensions and Salaries and must take immediate steps regarding this. He said, “The government is ready to improve the financial management within the State.”
Meanwhile, talking to the delegations of Diaspora and members of the Legislative Assembly respectively, Prime Minister Farooq Haider Khan said that Kashmiri seek strong and stable Pakistan, every Kashmiri wants peace and stability in Pakistan.
Prime Minister uttered that everybody desires that he could get a government job as it is not possible to adjust everyone in public sector departments adding that he said that people should trust themselves and pay attention on learning skills so that they can be skilled and become entrepreneurs.
“The better one can earn more in business and could play a vital role in strengthening economy by business activities.” PM AJK exhorted.
Prime Minister also expressed his concerns over the ongoing debate in Pakistani politics to prove ‘Sadiq’ and ‘Amin’ saying that this is a very sensitive issue and propagation of such matters should be stopped, and such necessary measures are necessary to avoid unrest in the country, “Every institution will have to play their role in the development and stability of the country” PM added.
