Peshawar: Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (K-P) Iqbal Jhagra has said that with the implementation of election act, the election process will become more transparent.
While addressing a seminar on “Voters Day” held in Peshawar on Thursday, Iqbal said the steps taken by Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) will help strengthen democratic process in the country .
He also applauded the countrywide awareness campaign launched by election commission of Pakistan with reference to voter’s day.
He said use of electronic voting machines by ECP is a good step. .
He directed that maximum facilities should be given to people for ensuring entry of their name in voters list because helping the voters in exercising their right to vote is our duty.
He added media and other institutions should play their role to create full awareness among the people about importance of their votes.
