ANF seizes narcotic drugs worth billions of rupees

Rawalpindi: (Parliament Times) ANF Pakistan in 19 counter-narcotics operations, carried out across the country, recovered 2.34 Tons drugs amounting Rs. 2.73 Billion in international market, while arrested 20 drug offenders including 1 lady and impounded 7 vehicles.
The seized drugs comprised of 2.32 Tons Hashish, 15.6 Kg Heroin, 1.8 Kg Methamphetamine, 995 Grams Amphetamine and 5940 Xanax Tablets weighing 760 Grams.
ANF Quetta intercepted a Toyota Prado at Turbat Road Kech and recovered 10 Kg Heroin from secret cavities of the vehicle. A person on board namely Iftikhar resident of Kech was also apprehended during the operation. In second operation ANF Quetta intercepted a Passenger Bus on RCD Highway near Shakir Hotel Tehsil Hub District Lasbella and recovered 20 Kg Hashish & 737 Kg Gutka. The accused escaped from the spot taking advantage of darkness. In third operation, ANF Quetta recovered 2200 Kg Hashish from a Truck Troller near Baqai Hospital Tehsil Vinder District Lasbella. A person arrested on spot identified as Saleem Jan resident of Charsadda. In fourth operation, ANF Quetta carried out an intelligence based operation at District Quetta, seized 69 Kg Hashish.
As per initial reports, drug was intended to be handed over to another narcotics gang.
ANF Rawalpindi intercepted a Motorcycle CD-70 near GT Road, Mian Jee Hotel, Tehsil Hassan Abdal, District Attock and during the search 1.050 Kg Hashish was recovered from personal possession of 3x persons on board namely Sami Ullah and Subhan Ali both are resident of Attock and Basharat Masih resident of Chakwal were also apprehended during the operation. Moreover, in another operation ANF Rawalpindi recovered 4 Kg Hashish by arresting one local drug peddler identified as Muhammad Usman resident of Attock. He was arrested near CDA Stop IJP Road, Islamabad. In third operation, ANF Rawalpindi arrested an accused Tayyab Khan resident of Hangu from Benazir Bhutto International Airport, Islamabad on suspicious of ingested narco-filled capsules, admitted in Rawalpindi Hospital for delivery of capsules and recovered 62x narco filed capsules of Heroin weighing 417 Grams. He was travelling to Ras-Ul-Khaima by Flight No. G-9829.
ANF Lahore arrested an accused namely Latif Hussain resident of Narowal, at Allama Iabal International Airport, Lahore, travelling to Madina (Saudi Arabia) by Flight No. PK-303 and recovered 1.450 Kg Amphetamine, which was concealed in steel pot placed in his trolley bag. Another operation, ANF Lahore intercepted a Mini Pajero at Zoom Petrol Pump resulted in recovery of 5 Kg Hashish, which was concealed in the secret cavities of the vehicle. 2x persons on board identified as Haydayat Ullah and Nazir Hussain both residents of Swabi. In third operation, ANF Lahore recovered 4 Kgs Heroin by arresting an accused identified as Muhammad Ramzan resident of Khanewal. He was arrested near Main Gate Nestle Factory Kabir Wala Road, Khanwewal. In fourth operation, ANF Lahore recovered 5 Kg Hashish by arresting two accused identified as Muhammad Arif and Muhammad Fayyaz they were resident of Rajanpur. In fifth operation, ANF Lahore intercepted a Honda Motorcycled near Samundari Bypass Faisalabad and recovered 5 Kg Hashish from personal possession of the accused identified as Tasveer Raza resident of Faisalabad. In sixth operation, ANF Lahore arrested Asif Butt at Sialkot International Airport, travelling to Saudi Arabia by Flight No. FZ-338 and recovered 1.8 Kg Methamphetamine which was concealed in Kneading Machine. In seventh operation, ANF Lahore recovered 690 Grams Heroin, from personal possession of a ldy namely Rabia Bibi resident of Lahore. She was arrested near Main Bazar Saddiqia Colony, Saeed Milk Shop, Badami Bagh, Lahore.
ANF Peshawar arrested an accused Khyber Khan resident of Khyber Agency from Peshawar International Airport on suspicious of ingested narco-filled capsules, admitted in Peshawar Hospital for delivery of capsules. 67x narco filled capsules of Amphetamine weighing 650 Grams were recovered. He was travelling to Sharjah (UAE) by Flight No. G9-555. In another operation, ANF Peshawar intercepted a Toyota Hiace near Chakar Kot Bla, Hangu Road Kohat and recovered 9.6 Kg Hashish which was concealed in driver side wall of the said vehicle. A person arrested on spot identified as Muhammad Gul resident of Orakzai Agency. In third operation, ANF Peshawar arrested accused namely Muhammad Yasin resident of Bannu at Peshawar International Airport, who was travelling to Saudi Arabia by Flight No. NL-723 and recovered 5940 Xanax Tablets weighing 760 Gram which were concealed in his trolley bag. In fourth operation, ANF Peshawar arrested an accused Abd-ul-Samad resident of Peshawar at Peshawar International Airport travelling to Saudi Arabia by Flight No. NL-723 and recovered 995 Grams Amphetamine which was concealed in his trolley Bag. In fifth operation, ANF Peshawar arrested an accused identified as Latif Rehman holding British Passport, travelling to Birmingham (UK) by Flight No. EK-637 and recovered 630 Grams Heroin which was concealed in Bread Maker.
All cases have been registered at respective ANF Police Stations and further investigations are underway.
