Muzaffarabad: (Parliament Times)Â Â Azad Jammu and Kashmir University has decided to start Chinese and English language courses at its campus in Muzaffarabad.
“The courses are an effort to provide a platform to AJK students to learn Chinese and English languages to work in multi-billion rupee China- Pakistan Economic Corridor, Neelum Jehlum and Kohalla Hydropower Projectsâ€, said a handout issued from the office of the Vice Chancellor of the university here on Sunday.
Announcing the schedule of the admission, the university directed the students wishing to apply for the admission by December 2. Classes for three months long courses will start from December 5, 2016. The applicants for the Chinese and English language courses are required to submit Rs 8,000 course fee while the students applying for IELTS will be charged Rs 10,000 as course fee for 45 days.
Vice Chancellor, Khawaja Farooq Ahmed said language courses, especially the Chinese language course will open up doors for the job opportunities to the youths as with start of mega projects under CPEC skilled manpower with well versed in foreign languages will be high in demand.  The Vice Chancellor further said that University has plan to offer more short and long courses to prepare the students to meet the requirements of the future
