Islamabad: (Parliament Times) Federal Minister for law and Justice Zahid Hamid chaired the meeting of the committee to review the empowerment of the AJK Government here at ministry of Law and Justice on Monday.
Prime Minister Azad Kashmir, Farooq Haider,Barjees Haider, Minster for Kashmir Affairs,Barrister, Zafar Ullha (Adviser to PM Pakistan ),Sartaj Aziz, ( Adviser to PM Pakistan on foreign Affairs), Chief Secretary, AJK Sultan Skindar Raja and Additional Chief Secretary AJK Farhat Ali Mir attended the meeting. AJK additional chief secretary Farhat Ali Mir briefed the “Committee for reviewing the legal andfinancial issues of Aj&K Govt.
The committee was constituted by P.M Nawaz Sharif. Next meeting of the Committee will be held in the first week of the April.
Meanwhile Prime Minister Raja Farooq Haider Khan felicitated senior journalist Afzal Butt on his election as president Pakistan Federal Union of Journalists. The PM expressed his hope that Mr. Butt will continue to play his role the vibrant and constructive journalism in the country and welfare of working journalists.
Prime Minister Raja Farooq Haider Khan Khan also held a meeting with Chief Minister Gilgit Baltistan Hafiz Hafiz-ur- Rehman at Kashmir House Islamabad. Both leaders discussed constitutional package for GB and agreed that constitutional package would only be accepted keeping in view the United Nations resolutions on Kashmir and Pakistan’s principled stand on Jammu and Kashmir issue. They expressed their satisfaction that there is no proposal under consideration of federal government that could negatively affect the Kashmir issue at national or international level.
