Islamabad: AJK leaders urged international community to help stop Indian madness and warned that escalation of tension between two nuclear countries could prove catastrophic for the whole region.
AJK President Sardar Muhammad Masood Khan said that fanatic ruler of India has become major threat to the peace of entire region and called for emergency session of UN Security Council on extraordinary escalation of ceasefire violation by India targeting the residents along the Line of Control in Azad Kashmir.
During his meeting with AJK Prime Minister, the president said continues provocation by Indian forces at LoC could lead to a full scale war between the two countries. He said Indian rulers want to sabotage vital China Pakistan Economic Corridor, but they should keep in mind people of China and Pakistan are the defenders crucial project. Saying that China is not oblivious of the situation developing between India and Pakistan, Sardar Masood warned that if India if decides to choose war it would be ruinous for entire region including India.
Earlier during his meeting with leader of opposition in AJK Legislative Assembly Chaudhry Muhammad Yaseenexpressed his shock and grief over the martyrdom of 13 civilian in the heightened heavy shelling by India forces from across the ceasefire line on Wednesday.
 He observed that Indian forces were targeting civilian population living near the CL using heavy weapons but India should keep in mind that people of Kashmir cannot be scared by such immoral acts. Kashmiris were determined to take their struggle to its logical ends, he added.
Both the President and the leader of the opposition appealed the international community to prevent South Asia from the nuclear war that is likely if India continued its aggressive designs and unprovoked heavy shelling against civilians in AJK. He said Indian war mongering attitude is endangering the entire region. Both also stressed the United Nations to take notice of the situation developing in former subcontinent and take steps to de-escalate the rising hostilities between India and Pakistan.
Both the leaders also exchanged views on the crisis arising out of the Indian shelling in Neelum Valley, Nakeyal, Khuiratta and Poonch sectors. The AJK President and Prime Minister also held meeting and exchanged views on the fast deteriorating situation at ceasefire line between India and Pakistan. They were of the opinion that if the situation did not improve it could lead both the countries to a full fledge atomic war which would be horrible for the region. They directed the administration and hospital authorities to ensure best possible facilities to the injured of Indian forces firing.
