DUBAI: The Afghan President Ashraf Ghani visited the United Arab Emirates on Sunday where he met the Abu Dhabi crown prince Sheikh Mohammad bin Zayed.
The Afghan president expressed his condolence over the deaths of five UAE diplomats who fell victim to a terrorist attack in Afghan city Kandahar in January. He met the families of the victims and presented them the ‘Jamal-ud-Din Afghani award’.
The two countries expressed the wish to collaborate over matters of mutual interest.
The Afghan President thanked the UAE government for development work being conducted in his country.
