Srinagar: In occupied Kashmir, Indian police have arrested over three dozen people including teenage boys and a 65-year-old civilian during house raids in Srinagar, Pulwama and Bandipore districts.
The police arrested these people including students of 7th, 8th and 10th classes, a 65-year-old civilian and a physically-challenged Muhammad Afzal Parrey from different areas of the districts.
Meanwhile, a youth, Mushtaq Ahmad Changa who was subjected to custodial disappearance by Indian troops after arresting him from his home at Arampora in Sopore town three years ago still remains untraced. Since his disappearance, Mushtaq’s two sisters have knocked every door from that of Indian forces to that of the puppet administration to know his whereabouts but to no avail.
Even after the death of Mushtaq’s parents during these three years of his absence, his sisters, especially the elder Rafiqa Bano, have not given up. “Many media persons came to write about our missing brother, but no one published the report,†Rafiqa said in an interview.
